Closed Beta Live
ASTRYLON
A space MMO, made by one dev
Hunt pirates, mine, craft your gear. Your ship keeps farming while you're away.
A world that runs without you
Sectors are shared by every player and keep going while you're offline.
Open sectors, live
Sectors are open, persistent space zones viewed from a cinematic overhead angle. Navigate asteroid fields, meet other live pilots, hunt pirates and, if you choose to, fight other players.

Multiple characters per account
Each account supports multiple commanders, distinct pilots with their own level, ship and loadout. Switch between them freely. While you pilot one into battle, the others keep farming.

Guardians are a group fight
Pirate guardians hold their lairs deep in the frontier. Reaching them takes a key; bringing them down takes reading their attacks and moving in time. Better bring a group.

Four galaxies, one open
Each galaxy is a self-contained universe with its own factions, sectors, and guardians.

Pirate Border Zone

Galaxy I
Pirate Dominion
A volatile frontier held by rival pirate factions and their guardians. Ten sectors and lairs to break into: the first battleground of Astrylon.
Future Galaxies
Classified
Three more galaxies are planned. Each one opens once you beat the final boss of the previous one.
What you do in game

Who makes the game
One person, no studio, no publisher.
Obscurio , Game Developer
Why this project?
I spent hours on space MMOs like DarkOrbit. I wanted that kind of game back, but made for someone who no longer has whole evenings to spend on it. In Astrylon you play like in a classic MMO, and when you leave, your ship carries on in autopilot.
The ambition
The first goal is simple: one complete, stable galaxy, with enough players to run into each other in game. Then the next galaxies, deeper guilds and bigger fights.
I'm building this alone, so it moves at my pace. News is posted on Discord and X.
Support the project
The game is free. Donations pay for the server and tools, and buy me more hours on the game.
Where the money goes
The game stays free to play. Supporting is entirely optional.
FAQ
Is Astrylon free to play?
+
Yes. The game is free and will stay free. Donations are optional.
Is it like DarkOrbit?
+
It's the same kind of game: a top-down space MMO with pirates to hunt, gear to upgrade, PvP and guilds. But everything has been rethought: abilities drop as fragments and you slot the ones you want, bosses have attacks to dodge, and your ship can play on autopilot.
Can my ship play without me?
+
Yes. Turn on auto-farm and it hunts or mines on its own, even while you're offline. You collect the loot when you come back.
What platform is it on?
+
Windows PC, through a launcher. It runs on modest PCs on low settings. An Android version is planned after the PC release.
How do I join the closed beta?
+
Join the Discord and ask for access. Spots open in waves.
Who makes Astrylon?

One developer. News is posted on Discord and X.
